We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join us and reinforce our expanding Data Analytics team in our Ghent or Brussels office! The successful candidate will support our audit teams with cutting-edge automated solutions, contributing to delivering data analytics services to our clients and helping to shape the future of our audit.
Key responsibilities:
- You will collaborate with audit teams to build core audit expertise, with a focus on expanding insights through data analytics;
- You will assist with ETL processes:
o Collect or extract data from various sources (e.g. client’s databases);
o Perform data cleaning, if needed;
o Conduct reconciliation exercises and validations;
o Transform and remap data according to data requirements;
o Review data consistency and quality, and ensure proper formatting in Forvis Mazars’ data systems.
- You will leverage gathered data for process mining, data mining, outlier identification, and data validation using AI-driven solutions;
- You will conduct analysis, create audit reports and interpret results;
- You will assist in the development of audit reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights;
- You will collaborate with team members to identify trends and patterns in data.
About you:
- You have a Master’s degree in Business Engineering or any related field, with a specialisation in Data Analytics;
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- You have an interest in the financial sector and sustainability data;
- You have experience with SQL, Python or other data analysis tools;
- You are strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- You are able to design and interpret flowcharts;
- You are familiar with data visualization tools such as Power BI;
- You are native in Dutch and/or French, with a strong knowledge of English;
- You are eager to learn and grow in the data analysis field;
- You are familiar with basic accounting principles;
- You have excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality, even when performing repetitive tasks;
- You are a creative thinker with an “out-of-the-box” mindset;
- You have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
